Solar Power

This bank of solar panels supplies energy for the island's human residents, and shelter for some of the avian residents.

Anne's photo shows a good placement of solar panels and the (surprising?) progressive thinking of the islanders!

But the photo also brings up one of the few extremely-necessary maintenance tasks of supposedly hands-free photovoltaic cell solar energy production - the solar panels must be kept clean!

Any sediment (or something else), dust, even salt from the sea air will significantly cut down on the energy production of a bank of solar cells and MUST be washed off regularly, perhaps daily.

Fortunately, in this location, the solar panels aren't on a second or third-story a rooftop!
